Sadie Robertson admits fame distracted her momentarily from her Christian mission

Sadie Robertson, star of reality television show "Duck Dynasty," admitted fame kept her momentarily off-track of her Christian mission, but now, she's back at it.
The 19-year-old TV personality, who also starred in the film "God's Not Dead 2," revealed on a video posted on social media the reason she wanted to join the "Live Original Tour," which kicks off on Sep. 22.
"When I first jumped into this whole fame, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm getting so many followers; this is so crazy; I can be such a light.' But then I started missing what it really meant to bring light to the world," said Robertson in an Instagram video.
She also talked about how setting out on her promotional tour and meeting with people meant more to her than the numbers of her Instagram followers or Twitter retweets.
Robertson says on the post: "The other night in Tulsa was amazing! 17 souls saved!! Praise God! It got me pumped for the tour coming up next month, because this is the purpose of the tour."
"Whatever you see that night could change your life forever," she added.
The teen star also believes that God uses movies and media "to bring Light into the Darkness." Robertson said that God prepared her for her roles on "God's Not Dead 2" and "I'm Not Ashamed" as her family taught her that the marginalization and persecution of Christians is not uncommon.
She added that she's been on travels and mission trips where she's seen "real world problems." She believes one needs to prepare and be trained for trials that may arise.
The "Dancing With The Stars" finalist confirmed early this month that she's dating Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight whom she described as "a very strong Christian and he tells everybody about his faith."
She said they've been friends for a while before they started dating three weeks earlier. She added that the whole "Duck Dynasty" clan approved of her new boyfriend.
