'Rizzoli & Isles' season 7 spoilers, plot news: Maura recovers from her surgery, the team investigates the murder of a wealthy woman
TNT's hit police procedural series, "Rizzoli & Isles" recently returned for its seventh season, and now more interesting cases are up ahead as the show moves on to its fifth episode.
The episode last Monday featured Federal Agent CJ Prescott (Yvette Nicole Brown) helping the team investigate on a postal worker who was brutally murdered. Before that, Prescott was already looking into a case involving a janitor who was found dead in the post office which made him think that both cases are connected to each other. Similar to the first victim, the second victim also received an illegal package of contraband which might be linked to their deaths. Meanwhile, Maura continued to refuse to have a surgery to treat her head injury despite her efforts to keep her memory sharp. In the end, she made an appointment to have the surgery.

Next week's episode will see the team probe on a high-profile case involving the murder of a wealthy woman. However, they will later on realize that their search for the killer is not as easy as it seems. To give fans an idea of what's in store for the upcoming episode, the official synopsis for episode 5 titled "Shadow of Doubt" reads:
"When a wealthy woman is found dead at the bottom of her stairs, we realize that this was no ordinary slip-and-fall accident. The team is pressed into a game of cat and mouse with a clever killer determined to get away with the perfect crime. Plus, when Maura decides to undergo minor surgery, the surprising part of her healing will be reconnecting with Hope (guest star Sharon Lawrence)."
