'Rick and Morty' season 3 spoilers: Rick's fate, 'Star Wars' and more teased in preview

A preview for "Rick and Morty" season 3 has been released, revealing the fate of the mad scientist after being imprisoned in the final moments of the previous season.
The curse word-packed clip shows an animation — in its early stages — showing Rick interrupting Morty's attempt to talk to Jessica now that she is finally single again.
Rick is looking to get a plasma from a princess that could make him "awesome." To get it, they took on a Death Star, only this one heavily resembles genitalia.
The "Star Wars" theme continues in the "Rick and Morty" season 3, resembling the time Princess Leia honored Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca for saving the galaxy far, far away from the Empire.
The major takeaway in the "Rick and Morty" season 3 preview is, of course, the fact that Rick can now pop in and out of Morty's school again to drag him into one interdimensional adventure after another.
This means that he is no longer behind bars and is now free to travel through various dimensions once more. How he got out of the heavily guarded prison remains to be seen.
Reports have it that Morty will have a hand in his escape, so fans are excited to see him take the charge in this mission this time in "Rick and Morty" season 3. Either way, fans won't have to worry about Rick as he will not spend the rest of his life in prison.
Another revelation from the "Rick and Morty" season 3 preview is that Morty is yet to find that balance between school, his love life or the lack of it, his family issues and his grandfather's intermittent and often sudden interruptions.
Contrary to previous reports, "Rick and Morty" season 3 did not make it to a 2016 premiere, which is the goal that creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon set for the show's return.
With more episodes for the new season, it was not a shock it is coming this year instead. As to when that will exactly happen remains to be seen.
