Adult Swim's "Rick and Morty" has been off the radar for quite some time now, and some people have been murmuring that the cartoon show could end up getting canceled. Will the popular adult cartoon show return for a third season?

Although creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland previously mentioned that "Rick and Morty" season 3 will be arriving before the end of 2016, the silence surrounding the development of the upcoming season has led to speculations that the show won't be making a comeback until early 2017, if at all.

Fans of the show have become quite aggressive in their demands to know of any updates about how season 3 is progressing. In fact, Harmon went on a very heated tirade on Twitter after a fan criticized him by writing on the social media platform that Harmon's Twitter privileges should be taken away until he finished the production of season 3.

"Can one of you gross children lay out in a flowchart how it is that you think TV, animation, the internet, society and/or anything works," Harmon fired back on Twitter.

However, it looks like fans no longer need to be so anxious about the fate of "Rick and Morty." As reported by University Herald, season 3 is indeed happening, and it is said to come with 19 episodes under its belt. The show's episodes will also run a little longer than those of the previous seasons.

There are also rumors suggesting that "Rick and Morty" will be visiting Hawaii and China during the third season. There are also reports that a Titanic-themed park in Sichuan Province, China will be featured in one of the characters' wild adventures in the cartoon show.

Although it is highly unlikely that "Rick and Morty" will return before 2016 ends, fans can expect the show's third season to possibly premiere sometime in March 2017.
