The release date of the sequel to the "Resident Evil: Revelations" game is rumored to be Feb. 17, 2015. Pre-orders of the game started on Oct. 14 for PS4 and later in the month for PS3.
The pre-orders and other news about 'Resident Evil: Revelations 2" came during the recent New York Comic Con panel discussion about the game. Capcom, the makers of the game, has said "Resident Evil: Revelations 2" will be available in episodes. Bloody Disgusting quoted Okabe as saying that breaking the game up into episodes will give players an incentive to finish each. Game reviewers have commented that the episodes have to be rich in narrative play for them to satisfy gamers.
Digital Spy said the game will be released over four weeks with one episode each week. Each episode will cost $5.99. Gamers may choose to purchase a full season pass for $24.99, which will give them access to additional content.
Those who opt to purchase the retail version of the game will be able to do so for $39.99. The retail version will contain the four episodes as well as additional content twhich is not part of the season pass. However, the retail version of the game will only be available for purchase after the four episodes are released.
"Resident Evil: Revelations 2" is an offshoot of the original series of Resident Evil games, the latest version of which was "Resident Evil 6" released in 2012.
"Resident Evil: Revelations" surprisingly did much better than "Resident Evil 6." As such fans are excited that a sequel is coming out early next year.
