A recent report indicates that a female terrorist working for the Islamic State in the Ukraine was recently shot and killed by a Russian sniper.

A report from Great Britain's Daily Mirror suggests that "White Widow" terrorist Samantha Lewthwaite, 30, was killed by a volunteer Russian sniper in the Ukraine a few weeks ago. The female terrorist was reportedly in the Ukraine to aid Islamic State fighters, and had been temporarily fighting for a Ukrainian volunteer battalion called Aidar.

"The terrorist was liquidated about two weeks ago not far from the town of Debaltsevo," a Russian media outlet called Regnum reported.

"The Russian sniper who killed the British terrorist now has a price of nearly one million dollars on his head from Ukrainian special services," the report added.

Lewthwaite has been described as one of the most wanted terrorists in the country, being pursued by several countries as well as Interpol. She was previously married to jihadist Jermain Lindsay, who was killed during a suicide bombing attack in Great Britain in 2005.

The 30-year-old mother of four is said to have aided the Islamic State, the al-Shabab terror group and terror factions in Somalia. She is also suspected of aiding in the Kenya mall attack in 2013.

The female terrorist's death has yet to be confirmed officially, and officials in Great Britain told The Telegraph that they had not received any word of Lewthwaite's death.

Although the U.S. is currently leading an airstrike campaign against the Islamic State, global powers are still faced with the challenge of tracking down terrorists who are working for the terror group abroad, in countries other than Syria and Iraq.
