'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date updates: Much-awaited sequel to be introduced in next month's E3 in Los Angeles?

Hit western action-adventure game "Red Dead Redemption" has been rumored to have a sequel this year, and the much-awaited reveal might happen during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 to be held next month in Los Angeles.
However, the official release date of the video game is still being kept under wraps which makes some fans doubt if it will really be out next month. Further fuelling speculations is the recent statement from Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-two Interactive which happens to be the parent company of Rockstar Games. As noted in the report, Zelnick was quoted saying that the company is finding it difficult to annualize its game franchises so it won't change its strategy in launching titles. "We don't intend to change annual strategy because of product fatigue," he said. "[Take-Two] creates franchise value and [releases have] to be managed deliberately," he added."It's tempting to have continuous releases and milk a franchise as far as you can, [but] we've seen that fatigue in other franchises in the games industry. With almost every single franchise for us, the latest release is bigger than the one before." For now, all fans can do is wait for the E3 if the game will indeed roll out in the said event.
For the uninitiated, "Red Dead Redemption" is one of the bestselling games during its time, with a whopping 14 million copies sold globally since it first arrived in 2010. The game quickly gained popularity among users, making it dubbed as one of the greatest games of all time.
As of the moment, Rockstar Games has not yet revealed further details about "Red Dead Redemption 2." Most reports surfacing online regarding the release are just speculations unless it the company officially confirms it, so readers are advised to take them with a grain of salt.
