'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date, rumors: upcoming game to launch 2017?
"Red Dead Redemption" has been one of the most-played video games in Xbox and PS3, and many fans of the game are wondering if the latest and updated "Red Dead Redemption 2" for newer platforms will be available anytime soon. The rumors of a sequel to the highly successful video game have started to make a buzz in the Internet since last year, but Rockstar, the game developer and publisher of "Red Dead Redemption" and other hit video games, has yet to make an official statement regarding a plan for a part two.
Even though Rockstar is not giving out any signs or teasers that their development team is already planning a "Red Dead Redemption 2," there is a rumor as reported by the Yibada website that the sequel will be previewed through a sneak peak during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that will be held from June 14 to June 16.
"Red Dead Redemption" fans may be eagerly waiting for the teasers and announcements for the sequel on E3 2016, but they may have to lower their expectations a bit as Rockstar is noted to not make official statements or press announcements for their high rated video games during the past E3's.
The first "Red Dead Redemption" video game was released six years ago in the midst of the company also gearing up a new installment for their another famous shooter game, "Grand Theft Auto 5." This year could be a good bet that the company will tackle the world of the feisty cowboys once again with a "Red Dead Redemption 2" sequel, unless Rockstar is planning other games up their sleeves, like the rumored "Grand Theft Auto 6: Tokyo."
The first of the "Red Dead" game series was released in May 2004 with the "Red Dead Revolver," followed by "Red Dead Redemption" in May 2010. The third installment, if ever Rockstar would make sure that it will happen, is expected to have a different name to make itself distinguishable from the others. Set in a cowboy's hometown, the video game tells the story of John Martson, an ex-outlaw who sets out to seek justice against the people who wronged him and his group.
