'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date rumors: Game will not appear in E3 2016?

A lot of gaming fans have been all hyped up for much-anticipated sequel "Red Dead Redemption 2." Although Rockstar has not made an official announcement regarding the game sequel's development, there are speculations that the game developer company will be unveiling the new title in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 this June. Unfortunately, the latest reports suggest that Rockstar is unlikely to announce "Red Dead Redemption 2" during the said event.

According to Movie News Guide, Rockstar Games opted not to reveal the new "Red Dead" installment in the E3 2016. However, the reason why the title will not be announced during the event is not yet clear. A separate report from News Everyday suggests that the declining number of participants of the annual E3 conference is the reason why Rockstar chose not to announce "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the venue. In spite of this, the E3 is still one of the biggest global trade exhibitions with respect to the latest trends in the world of technology and video games. This year's event will be taking place from June 14 to 16.

In spite of Rockstar keeping their mouths zipped regarding the rumored "Red Dead Redemption" sequel, the fans are still expecting that a follow-up game is coming up very soon. In fact, Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick made a statement that pretty much confirms that future installments of the "Red Dead" game series. According to Zelnick, the development of a new sequel is taking some time because they are carefully planning their game releases and they would not like to just fill up the markets with excessive new games, Yibada reported.

"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It seems quite obvious that 'Red Dead' is a permanent franchise," Zelnick stated as he spoke in front of the participants of the Cowen and Company Analyst Conference in 2014, GameSpot quoted.

Meanwhile, other sources suggest that Rockstar has still not thought of a fitting game title for the next "Red Dead" installment. Fans refer to the upcoming sequel as "Red Dead Redemption 2" following the success of the current title of the franchise, "Red Dead Redemption." However, it is not confirmed whether the follow-up game will continue the story of "Red Dead Redemption." It has also been reported that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be titled as "Legends of the West."
