'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date rumors and news: Sequel to get announced this year?

While everyone is anticipating the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2," game developer Rockstar Games is preparing to launch the remastered version of the original game for PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
According to a report by GameFocus, reports are circulating that "Red Dead Redemption" remastered version will be announced by the company in September. Although Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive have yet to confirm the reports, the idea to release an updated version of the popular game will definitely give players new ways to enjoy the game.
There are speculations suggesting that Rockstar will reveal the title at the Sony PlayStation Meeting on Sept. 7. However, rumors are rife that the company might also provide concrete details with regard to their plan on the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel.
It was previous reported that Rockstar was supposed to announced "Red Dead Redemption 2" at Sony's press event at Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 in June. Although the Japanese electronics company denied the report, there are several sources saying that Sony pulled the game from their press con for unknown reason.
Meanwhile, Techradar reported that the recent leaked map of "Red Dead Redemption 2" appears to be legit and accurate. According to the publication, a reliable source has informed them that the new image of the map, which has been circulating online, is a recent artwork from the game developer itself. The report added that the map did not show all locations of the next "Red Dead Redemption" set up. It is expected that more details about the game's location will be revealed anytime soon.
Although Rockstar Games has yet to provide details about the game's development, GameRant already reported that the sequel will be titled "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West."
