Many "Red Dead Redemption" fans have been waiting for game developer Rockstar Games to announce the sequel of the highly popular western shooter video game. The announcement was expected to happen during the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016. However, the event has just been concluded and many fans are disappointed as they wait yet again in vain wondering when "Red Dead Redemption 2" will arrive.

According to reports, Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive were on the verge of announcing the sequel. However, due to the recent tragedy in Orlando where 50 people killed by a lone gunman, both companies thought that it would be inappropriate to launch the sequel of the open world, western action-adventure shooter video game at this time.

There were speculations prior to the event that Sony is going to confirm the game at the company's E3 press conference.

However, fans are keeping it positive as they hope that Take-Two and Rockstar Games will launch the highly anticipated game title anytime soon.

Previous reports coming from various online publications suggest that the game will come out pretty soon. It was already confirmed by the company that "Red Dead Redemption" is one of their permanent game franchises, and that gave fans a hint that the game will be released. It is just a matter of time and nobody really knows when as of this moment.

Meanwhile, speculations are also circulating all over the Internet suggesting that "Red Dead Redemption 2" was not even in Sony's plan for the event. However, a video released by Game Riot confirms the rumors.
