'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date news: Rumored 'Legends of the West' coming in February 2017?

Despite the fact that Rockstar Games has been remarkably quiet about a possible sequel to its critically acclaimed "Red Dead Redemption," various reports have been popping up about an alleged sequel and its release date.
"Red Dead Redemption," the Western-themed open world action/adventure video game, has been a massive critical and commercial success, selling millions of units and receiving numerous Game of the Year awards from various video game publications.
However, because it has been almost five years since any additional content for the video game was released, fans of "Red Dead Redemption" have been clamoring for a sequel. In recent months, reports have pointed to a possible new installment coming out within the next few years, possibly even next year, and an alleged title for the rumored "Red Dead Redemption 2."
According to Alphr, Rockstar Games may have long been developing a sequel but may have had to hold back its release so that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be unveiled alongside Microsoft's Xbox Scorpio and/or Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro. Having the sequel come out as one of the main games for either/both of these highly anticipated gaming consoles could reportedly increase hype — and, consequently, sales — for the game.
iTech Post suggests that with these upcoming consoles rumored to launch in the new year, fans could see the unveiling of "Red Dead Redemption 2" sometime in the first quarter of 2017, possibly as early as February.
Meanwhile, Fraghero recently reported on the possible title for "Red Dead Redemption," saying that it received an email from an unnamed informant who claimed that the alleged sequel will be titled "Legends of the West."
The website's unidentified source reportedly wrote that this information was obtained from a former Rockstar Games employee. The source also said that the sequel is already in development and that it could be released by the end of the year.
Rockstar Games has not confirmed that it is working on a sequel to "Red Dead Redemption."
