Real Housewives of New Jersey season 7 news 2016: Teresa makes surprise call to Jacqueline, Dolores helps 2 former friends reconcile in episode 2

Bravo's hit reality series "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" kicked off its seventh season yesterday with the introduction of new housewives, along with the emotional return of Teresa Giudice after serving 11 and a half months in jail for fraud charges. Now that she's back, viewers will see how the dynamics between the rest of the housewives will change.

To recap, the season premiere saw Teresa make an effort to reach out to Melissa and Jacqueline before she finally got out of jail. Her letter to Jacqueline began with an awkward statement, but it eventually shifted to a much friendlier tone. She even mentioned how she is "looking forward to a new beginning" which is definitely a huge leap for their broken relationship. As fans know, the two ladies have been close for 13 years but their friendship went through a lot of obstacles in the last few years. Jacqueline reiterated that in spite of several attempts to hash things out, the friendship "never quite recovered."

Teresa's return also gave so much relief for her husband Joe who mentioned how difficult it was to be the sole parent raising their daughters. "It's like being married to five women," he said (via Us Weekly). "They think they can boss me around."

The next episode features the group reuniting once again for a Christmas Eve dinner. Teresa will see the other ladies again, while Dolores makes an effort to help her and Jacqueline make amends. Episode 2 is titled "A Very Hairy Christmas" and the official synopsis reads:

"Melissa hosts a Christmas Eve dinner, during which she reunites with Teresa; Jacqueline gets a surprise call from Teresa as Dolores attempts to reconcile the two former friends; Joe Giudice and Gia are at odds over her New Year's Eve plans."
