'Real Housewives of New Jersey' news: Laurita reveals who spoke to the feds about the Giudices

Reality star Jacqueline Laurita from "Real Housewives of New Jersey" has kept insisting that she had nothing to do with the arrest of her co-star Teresa Giudice. In a recent interview, the former also revealed that she has an idea as to who could have spoken to the feds and busted Giudice.

In an interview with Real Mr. Housewife, the reality star defended herself and maintained that she wasn't involved in Giudice's arrest. She also reiterated the story behind the Giudices' troubles. According to her, Teresa's husband, Joe, owed a former partner some money. He threatened to get the feds involved if he wasn't going to pay him.

Although she didn't know the ex-partner, she somehow got dragged into their mess because a mutual friend had asked Jacqueline's husband, Chris, to relay the message to Joe. Laurita believes that it was when Joe refused to pay his partner that led him to seek help from the feds.

When an investigation was in progress, the feds apparently found out that the couple have not been paying their taxes for years, although they have been publicly parading their wealth on the reality show.

For the uninitiated, Teresa Giudice was convicted of fraud in 2014. She was sentenced 15 months in a correctional institution in Danbury, Connecticut, but she didn't serve the full term. After 11 months, she was granted an early release because of good behavior.

In the second half of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion, Giudice kept accusing of Laurita for selling her story to tabloids. Based on the reunion, Giudice firmly believes that Laurita had something to do with her arrest, even if she didn't intend to do so. According to her, Laurita could have hired someone else to get her in trouble. Chris has obviously taken the side of his wife. They reportedly tried to help the family out, but Joe was just uncooperative.

Aside from the reunion episodes for "Real Housewives of New Jersey," the Giudices have yet to comment on Laurita's latest speculations regarding the identity of the person who gave Teresa up to the feds.
