'Ray Donovan' season 4 news and updates: Premiere date set for June 26, Showtime offers free streaming for episode 1, Ray tries to resolve complications in his personal life

Showtime's hit TV series "Ray Donovan" will begin airing its much-awaited season 4 this week, but fans will have an early sample of the first episode ahead of Sunday's premiere.
As noted by Deadline, Showtime will offer viewers a glimpse of their favorite TV show's season 4 premiere which can be streamed via YouTube and Sho.com. It will also be available across other digital platforms, but here's the catch: the freebie will be the TV-14 format. This means that the free sample is very different from what the premium cabler will air on Sunday. Season 3 left off with a story involving professional football starring Katie Holmes and Ian McShane.
The upcoming fourth season will likely see a human-trafficking plotline linked to a popular boxer. In terms of Ray's personal life, his dad (Jon Voight) and brother Terry (Eddie Marsan) are still not ready to make peace with him. Ray's wife (Paula Malcomson) and daughter (Kerris Dorsey) remain in the dark after everything that has happened while brothers Bunchy (Dash Mihok) and Darryl (Pooch Hall) will find themselves in deep waters. The official synopsis for episode 1 titled "Girl with Guitar" reads:
"Ray is in recovery mode in the aftermath of the shootout, striving to reconnect with his family and repair his relationship with Bridget. Meanwhile, Bunchy and Teresa face impending parenthood together as Abby receives a medical diagnosis that threatens to upend the Donovan family. Hiding out in Nevada, Mickey plots a heist as Detective Muncie closes in on his trail. Season premiere."
Also returning for this season are veterans Katherine Moennig and Devon Bagby. Joining them as newcomers are Lisa Bonet, Stacy Keach, Embeth Davidtz, Ted Levine, Gabriel Mann, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Chris Coppola and Billy Lush. Catch the season 5 premiere of "Ray Donovan" which airs this coming Sunday, June 26 at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime. Lead star Liev Schreiber also directed the episode.
