'Ray Donovan' season 4 episode 2 spoilers: Ray helps Hector deal with someone from his past, Marisol to continue complicating Ray's life
"Ray Donovan" kicked off its fourth season with a good start, as Ray finally decided to change his old ways. As an effort to begin anew, he goes to therapy and abstains from alcohol with the help of Hector. Ray is well on his way to a new way of living, but somehow, his past always manages to catch up to him.
Next week's episode will see Ray doing what he does best by dealing with someone from Hector's past. According to the official synopsis for episode 2 titled "Marisol," Ray must handle a person from Hector's past who might reveal a secret that could put an end to his career. Elsewhere, Bunchy makes an effort to please Teresa who is close to giving birth, and Abby offers to teach him about the concept of marital compromise. Terry finds a new sense of purpose following an act of petty larceny, while Detective Muncie uses the evidence he has against Ray's family to force his hand.
Marisol is Ray's half-sister, and she will bring more complications in his life. As noted by TV Guide, the second episode will still see Ray's race to handling his "vulgar, drugged-up train wreck" sister before she spills out her dark secret which could destroy him and everything he has worked hard for. Ray also has to fix his problems involving his father Mickey and his own fractured family. If one thing is for sure, Marisol's secret parallels one of Ray's demons which compelled him to kill Father Danny O'Connor, and she is determined to ruin him.
