'Quantico' season 2 spoilers: Will Alex Parrish work for the CIA?

"Quantico" season 1 has finally delivered the answers to mysteries that hovered over the entire season, and fans of the hit series are already eagerly looking forward to the second season. There is one key question though whose answer has yet to be known and that is whether or not Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) will accept Matthew Keyes' (Henry Czerny) CIA job offer.

Entertainment Weekly asked co-executive producer Josh Safran if it is safe to assume that Parrish made the choice to join the CIA. The showrunner said that the key to the answer lies in the title of the season 1 finale episode, which is "usually the last word spoken in every episode." And the said episode title happened to be "Yes."

In another interview with Safran by TV Line, he said that they will slow things down in the next season contrary to "you're-on-the-run," heart-pounding and fast pace of the first season.

Meanwhile, it is not surprising how theories on what will happen in the season 2 of "Quantico" crop up easy and fast on the web. Imaginative analyses of viewers seem to result in several speculations.

For one, some say Parrish will decide to join the CIA. If this will be the case, then viewers will be immersed better in how the CIA differs from the FBI in terms of process of work, and Parrish will be seen traveling a lot overseas for international missions. On the other hand, some believe that she will be reinstated into the FBI instead.

Season 1 ended with the discovery that Liam O'Connor (Josh Hopkins) was the terrorist who was later on killed by Parrish and Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin). Simon Asher (Tate Ellington) decided to make the ultimate sacrifice when he drove off the bridge with a nuclear bomb away from all else in order to spare them from being blown into pieces by the explosion. Toward the last minute Parrish came up against U.S. Vice President-elect Claire Haas (Marcia Cross) to accuse her of working with O'Connor. However, she could not make a move regarding the allegation because she is not yet a Federal agent.

This leads viewers to assume that Haas will be the new main villain.

"Quantico" fans even bring Natalie Vasquez (Anabelle Acosta) into the picture again. Some ask if she actually died or perhaps if she had the chance to escape before the bomb went off. They say this can make a subplot.

Viewers seem to get by with the tad information that has been released about the show. But for now anything goes and is possible to occur in the second season of "Quantico," whose exact premiere date has yet to be announced by its home network ABC.
