'Quantico' season 2 spoilers news: Alex encounters bigger conspiracy; story to takeslower pace
Alex (Priyanka Chopra) will be in the middle of two conflicting U.S. government agencies when "Quantico" season 2 returns this Fall.

Instead of being in Quantico, Alex will now be at a CIA facility known as The Farm. Season 2 will see Alex training to become a spy for FBI agents. After the unexpected events in season 1, she must deal with another conspiracy extending beyond the country's borders.
Season 1 left off with Alex discovering that the very man who trained her in Quantico was behind the terrorist attack. She managed to save millions of lives after preventing the attack but by a shocking turn of events, she was the fired by the FBI. Alex eventually got an offer to serve her country once more in a different government agency —the CIA.
According to the official synopsis for the upcoming season, Alex will find herself navigating a dark new world of espionage. As she slowly learns the ropes in the top intelligence agency, she becomes pulled into a bigger and deadlier conspiracy which threatens the lives of innocent people across the globe. More surprising revelations are up ahead, along with thrilling and suspenseful episodes sure to get viewers on the edge of their seats.
Series creator Joshua Safran previously told TV Line that season 2 will have a slower pace than the intense first season. "We took our energy from that. Season 2 is structured a little bit slower. I'm not going to say what it is, but the nature of the event is slower and unfolding as opposed to explosive. We're just going to take our energy from that," he explained.
New cast members will also make their way into the sophomore season including telenovela star Aarón DÃaz, Blair Underwood, Russell Tovey, Tracy Ifeachor and David Lim.
