'Quantico' season 2 spoilers: Alex discovers familiar face while infiltrating hostage crisis in episode 3

Alex (Priyanka Chopra) goes undercover in the hostage crisis, only to discover that not everyone is a stranger in the upcoming episode of ABC's mystery action-drama "Quantico" season 2.

After the FBI announced a headcount in the previous installment, Alex decided to leave the NYPD bunker and headed to hostile territory on her own. However, she will still find some means to blend in and avoid being caught. In the next episode, Alex will go out of her way to infiltrate a hostage crisis. According to the official synopsis, she will attempt to infiltrate the terrorist group holding everyone hostage and she will find out that not everyone is a stranger. In the present day, the training for the soon-to-be spies continues. While still staying at The Farm, the CIA recruits' new lesson will focus on assessment.

Although that's not much information to go on, the episode title might help give clues on what lies ahead in episode 3. For the uninitiated, all episode titles in season 2 are CIA cryptonyms related to every episode's story. The next episode is titled "Stescalade," and as reports point out, it is a code word referring to the attempted bugging of a news agency located in Havana Cuba that occurred back in 1960. There are speculations that the recruits will learn to discreetly gather more intel by eavesdropping of some sort.

ABC recently released a promo clip for "Stescalade," and the intense sneak peek shows Alex stealing one of the terrorist disguises to avoid being noticed. It also hints that Jeremy (David Call) wasn't Alex's only former classmate who teamed up with the bad guys.

The second season of "Quantico" airs every Sunday night at 10 p.m. EST on ABC. Since the second U.S. presidential debate will be held on Oct. 9, the series will be delayed for a week and continue airing its third episode on Oct. 16.
