'Quantico' season 2 news, spoilers: Will Ryan die? Shelby unlocks the truth about the terrorists

Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) was revealed to be one of the terrorists. Will he die because he sided with them?

Previously in episode 8 of "Quantico" season 2, titled "ODENVY," Alex (Priyanka Chopra) found out that Ryan was one of the terrorists when she pulled off is mask during combat. Before Ryan's big reveal, two other characters have already been shown to be part of the CLF, which are Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis) and Nimah (Yasmine Al Massri).

Aside from these revelations, this is the episode that suggests that the FBI is involved with the terrorists because of its title. ODENVY is a CIA cryptonym that translates to FBI.

Someone is likely to die in such an act of terrorism. Will it be Ryan?

A fan posted a theory on Reddit, claiming that Ryan will die, and the said fan submitted the photo of Priyanka looking disoriented on Instagram with the caption, "When my friend eats her sorrow away."

In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Chopra shared how Alex will choose between Ryan and saving the world at one point.

"I don't think that there's ever that choice. That it would be Ryan versus saving the world. But if she had to make that choice, I'm pretty sure she'd pick saving the world, because she's that kind of person," Chopra explained.

If Ryan dies, could his death be in Alex's hands?

Meanwhile, Shelby (Johanna Braddy) will be the one to figure out the truth behind the terrorist attack.

In the episode 9 promo, Shelby tells Alex, "I think I have found the key to unlocking the truth." What will Shelby find out? Will Alex be able to use this information in time?
