In the latest series of photos from season 2 episode 1 "Kudove," Alex appears to be in a briefing for newcomers in The Farm, which is a counterpart of the FBI's Quantico. After leaving her post in the FBI, Alex wasted no time to jump into a new career in the government. Season 2 will see her training to becoming an agent again, this time as a part of the CIA. Along with new skills, Alex will also meet new friends and possibly enemies. She will also find herself in the middle of a brand new and larger conspiracy.

Owen Hall (Blair Underwood) appears to be lecturing the trainees and they seem to be discussing polygraphs. It may also be an activity for them to get to know their fellow trainees as they all get polygraphed. Another photo shows Alex and Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) introducing themselves to Lydia Bates (Tracy Ifeachor).

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Joshua Safran shared interesting plot details in the upcoming sophomore run. Instead of making a complete 180, he explained that season 2 will be similar to the next novel in a book series. "Season 2 deals with issues of morality, about the lines you can and cannot cross," he said. "That has made the show more mature, more introspective. I know I'm making it sound dull and boring, but it's not. It's still got fun in it, it's still got sex in it, but no one's hopping into bed with each other every episode. Season 2 is what the pilot promised. It's more like the pilot in every way."

Aside from Alex and Ryan, returning characters from season 1 include Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis), Shelby (Johanna Braddy) and twins Nimah and Raina (Yasmine Al Massri)
