The prosecutor involved in the federal trial regarding the death of unarmed teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri said in a recent interview that it was "obvious" some alleged witnesses of the teen's death had lied.

Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch, who spoke in front of a grand jury in regards to Brown's death, said in a recent interview with KTRS Radio that he believe some witnesses who claimed to have witnessed Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson shoot Michael Brown were lying under oath.

The prosecutor referenced one woman who claimed to have witnessed Wilson and Brown's interaction, but McCulloch argues that her account was reportedly taken straight out of a newspaper article that supported Wilson's version of events in the case.

"Clearly some were not telling the truth," McCulloch said of the witnesses, adding of the one witness: "clearly wasn't present. She recounted a story right out of the newspaper."

Also this week, Missouri State Representative Karla May announced that she wants an investigation into how McCulloch prosecuted the trial, as she believes that the prosecutor intentionally had Wilson acquitted of all charges.

The Smoking Gun reports that there was yet another strange jury mishap when one juror, named "Witness 41," claimed to have taken a video of the interaction between Wilson and Brown on her cell phone. She then told lawyers that although she had taken the video, she had since dropped her cell phone in the toilet and threw it out as a result.
