Pro-Lifers Hold #WomenBetrayed Protests Against Planned Parenthood in Over 60 U.S. Cities

Women gathered in over 60 U.S. cities on Tuesday to protest Planned Parenthood after the recent release of two undercover videos showing executives from the abortion provider discussing the costs associated with fetal body parts.
The pro-life protest spanning over 60 U.S. cities on Tuesday was started by the Students for Life of America and Pro-Life Future as part of the #WomenBetrayed initiative that calls on the federal government to defund Planned Parenthood.
"Planned Parenthood has betrayed the very patients – women and their children – who they claim to care about and have compassion for," the Students for Life of America said in a press release, as reported by Breitbart News.
"Women are supposed to help and support other women – not use them for profit and sell the body parts of their prenatal children," Kristan Hawkins, SFLA president, added. "Planned Parenthood gets a half a billion a year in taxpayer dollars. We are calling on every state and federal government to cut off those funds immediately and investigate Planned Parenthood for possible wrongdoing."
According to the Gospel Herald, the #WomenBetrayed protests will include speakers such as 2016 presidential hopeful Ben Carson, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn, and others.
In Sioux City, Iowa, organizers for the #WomenBetrayed protest are planning to hold their event in front of the local Planned Parenthood on Tuesday.
"The purpose of the rally is to draw attention to the outrageous practices of Planned Parenthood," Fred Shellabarger, who works for the Sioux City Diocese, told the Catholic Globe. "What better place to hold the rally than at their front door?"
