Fox has released the initial information about the ongoing production of the fifth season of "Prison Break." Many years after the supposed death of Michael (Wentworth Miller) in the Season 4 finale, it appears that the main characters of the series will be put to a huge test. Miller's character will be revealed to survive and has been living away from his wife, Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and their son, but letting everyone know that he is in fact alive will not be that easy.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the first official Prison Break still photo shows Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and Sara having an intense conversation. This still appears to tell how Lincoln reveals the truth to Sara that her husband is actually alive.

Aside from the first still from the shoot, Entertainment Weekly was also able to access four storyboards of "Prison Break" Season 5, where one of those reveals a huge car chase scene involving Lincoln. Specifically, Lincoln's car will run into an 18-wheeler truck, which will eventually hit a guardrail as he dives out of the windshield and goes into a creek. This intense car chase sequence is expected to happen in the Season 5 premiere episode.

The storyboard suggests that the information about Michael's present condition is the precursor of the huge car chase sequence. It appears that the new bad guys in the series will not let anyone know that Michael is alive, and the villainous group will do anything to eradicate those people already knowing the truth. It is unknown, however, why it is such a big deal for the group to keep Michael's status as a secret, and why are they going through great lengths just to make sure that no one knows about it. Once that Michael's wife knows about the truth, this will put Sara and their child's life in danger.

"If people start finding out that Michael is still alive, then it puts their larger secret agenda at risk," executive producer Paul Scheuring revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "They'll kill anybody that finds out."

"Prison Break" Season 5 will feature the return of the series' original cast, including Miller as Michael Scofield, Purcell as Lincoln Burrows, Callies as Dr. Sara Tancredi, Robert Knepper as T-Bag, Amaury Nolasco as Sucre, Rockmond Dunbar as C-Note, and Paul Adelstein as Paul Kellerman. The new season is expected to arrive early 2017.
