'Prison Break' season 5 news: New trailer revealed, Sara Wayne Callies hints more complications to arise

Since news broke out about the return of hit crime drama series "Prison Break," fans have been wanting to see what comes next in their favorite TV show after its long hiatus.
Even before the fifth season airs, fans are already wondering if there is a possibility for the show to continue on after season 5. The writers do not want viewers to get their hopes up this early since the show has yet to air, but they are definitely open to continuing what they have started. "The plan is for this to be a 1-time event, but if ratings are through the roof, you never know what could happen," a post from the "Prison Break" writers' Twitter account reads.
Lead actress Sara Wayne Callies recently caught up with Access Hollywood where she mentioned that Michael and Sara's relationship will have further complications once they see each other again after a long time of being apart. "These are people that we're catching up with seven years later and a lot happens in seven years, lives change," the actress explained. She also hinted that the two characters will deal with "a lot of pain and a lot of loss" which fans should anticipate. Regardless of how much challenges they face in their relationship, Sara and Michael will forever be connected by their only child. "There's a child," Callies said. "There's a boy and so these two people are linked no matter what by our son."
As seen in the newly-released trailer, Sara is talking to her son before she receives the shocking news that Michael is still alive. Michael's brother Lincoln then goes out on a mission to get him out of the prison he's in, along with the help of some of their old friends.
Stay tuned for all-new episodes of "Prison Break" season 5 which premieres early next year on FOX.
