'Prison Break' season 5 air date, updates, news: Important plot details to know before season 5 begins

The fifth season of "Prison Break" is just a few months away, and new details about the much-anticipated Fox revival have been recently revealed.
It has been nearly a decade since the show wrapped up, and a lot of changes certainly happened to all the characters. Most of the original cast members have been confirmed to return and to keep the fans up to speed, here are five important plot details to look forward to in "Prison Break" season 5.
1. Michael lives
Season 4 left viewers thinking that Michael (Wentworth Miller) had died, but it turns out that he's very much alive. However, he is stuck in a prison in Yemen after working with an ISIS-style terrorist organization. Even if he breaks free, he will still be in big trouble because his former enemies are out to get him.
"He's been up to some not-so-nice things and there's a question as to whether or not he's even qualified to be considered a good man," Miller recently said in an interview. "Has he crossed the line in a way that he can never come back? That's at the heart of the story we're currently telling."
2. Lincoln's life is in serious danger
Michael's prison break will involve his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), but it will certainly not be a walk in the park. In a series of "Prison Break" storyboards previously released by Entertainment Weekly, Lincoln appears to be driving a Tesla while being chased by an unknown person. If one thing's for sure, viewers can expect plenty of action sequences in the coming season. Rumor has it that he will die later in the season because he will sacrifice his life for Michael.
3. Major characters will come back
It won't be a revival if familiar faces won't return, and among the original characters who will come back are Fox River escapees Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) and C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar). T-Bag (Robert Knepper) is also slated to return, as well as former hitman Kellerman (Paul Adelstein). Michael's former wife Sara (Sarah Wayne-Callies) is joining as a series regular again, but a reunion between the two of them may be far from happening since she already has a husband who helps her raise her son with Michael.
