'Pretty Little Liars' season 7 spoilers, news: Vanessa Ray reveals Charlotte's return; Cast finishes emotional final table read

Charlotte's death is the reason why A.D. has been causing trouble in the girls' lives, but there is a possibility that she is alive in the upcoming return of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7.

Freeform's long-running thriller still has 10 more episodes left, but it will be a while before fans get to see what's next for the PLLs as the series nears its end. Vanessa Ray, who played the role of Charlotte, recently caught up with Us Weekly and she revealed that her character will resurface in some way. "I have been keeping up with the show, and you might see my face soon. I love getting to be around that crew and the lovely cast," she said. It remains to be revealed, however, if she will just appear in a flashback or not.

Meanwhile, the leading ladies of the showâ€”Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterseâ€”reunited last week for the program's final table read. Before starting, the actresses huddled together on a studio lot and took a photo to commemorate the special day. Hale posted the image on her Instagram account, along with a heartfelt message for her fans.

"While we still have 15 more days of filming, I sit here with a heavy, but extremely full & grateful heart after our official last table read of 'Pretty Little Liars,'" she wrote. "... Knowing and working with each of these ladies has left such a huge mark on my life. And I'm not ready to say goodbye."

The idea of the show ending remains difficult to accept for fans and the cast members, but showrunner Marlene King previously announced her interest in keeping the Rosewood world alive in any way.

"... We're very open to finding ways to keep these characters alive," King told Variety back in August. "I hope that down the line, we find a way to bring all the girls back together again. It's such a fun world to play in that we're always keeping that option open."

The second part of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 premieres April 2017 on Freeform.
