'Pretty Little Liars' season 7 air date, spoilers: Showrunner I. Marlene King shares series finale teasers; wedding, murder, Spoby moment to happen

"Pretty Little Liars" may have left off with a lot of revelations, but the hit mystery drama has a lot more surprises in store when it returns for its final 10 episodes next year.

Although the show's finale is still months away, series creator I. Marlene King is already giving fans some hints on what to expect. Last Friday (Sept. 23), King took to her Twitter account to tease portions of the script for the finale.

When King wrote the pilot episode for "Pretty Little Liars," she shared some of the lines from the script to get viewers excited. Now that the program is coming to an end, King has decided to keep true to her tradition and do the same for the finale script.

The first teaser in the series of tweets features a scene between Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario). Ali appears to be on the phone with the state police, which could mean more trouble are coming the PLLs way. The next one she posted is a line from Toby (Keegan Allen), which reads: "I used to know a girl who liked to say 'hope breeds eternal misery.'" It could mean another Spoby moment is up ahead, since Spencer is the one he is pertaining to.

Another post hints a wedding with one mystery character saying: "If you don't stop looking at me like that, I'm never going to be able to say my vows without the ugly cry." King also hinted that someone will be in serious danger in one post. "Are you here to kill me?" one character said. King paired that line with her own thoughts, saying: "Of course it's not all romance, it's PLL."

She ended the hints with one last tweet: "It's like when you finish a book and you don't want it to end. Even if the characters are happy, you're still sad that it's ending."

As of this writing, King's latest tweet indicates that she only has two scenes left to write for the finale script.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 will air its last 10 episodes on April 2017 on Freeform.
