'Power' season 3 spoilers news: Premiere breaks all-time record as Starz's most-watched episode, series renewed for 2 more seasons
After being moved to a Sunday night timeslot, the season 3 premiere of "Power" broke records by pulling in 2.26 million viewers. Aside from earning the title as the premium cabler's best original series debut, the premiere is also the most-watched episode of any Starz show ever.

As a testament to the top-rating drama's success, it earned an early back-to-back renewal from the network. The announcement came from the show's official Twitter profile which reads: "Now this is what we call good news. #PowerTV is coming back for Seasons 4 AND 5." In a press statement, creator Courtney A. Kemp expressed her gratitude for the support given by the network and fans since day one. "Chris Albrecht and the Starz team have believed in this show from the very beginning," she said. "Everyone here at 'Power' is deeply grateful for the tremendous support we have received from the fans of the show, which made today's announcement possible. I am humbled by this vote of confidence from the network and the opportunity to continue to employ our excellent cast and crew, who work tirelessly to bring this show to life."
Season 3 kicked off with James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) preparing to start anew with his first love, Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda Valdes (Lela Loren). After turning his back on the business of drugs and his old persona as "Ghost," he is now ready to focus on his new life as a legitimate owner of nightclubs in New York. However, he must deal with enemies from his past who are trying to get their revenge.
James' enemies are lining up for this season, and Hardwick believes that James' ex-wife Tasha might be the most dangerous of them all. Having to raise his three kids on her own, she is one character that can do so much damage. "I would definitely think that there is an enemy looming in her that to me might be the most detrimental," Hardwick said (via Zap2it). "Because you know, hell really hath no fury like a woman scorned. ... There's a bond when you make kids with somebody that is pretty incredible, so that's definitely an enemy in the making. ... She can hurt him a lot worse."
