'Poldark' season 2 release date, spoilers: Cast attends season 2 pilot premiere

The cast of BBC One's drama TV series "Poldark" recently gathered at The White River Cinema in St. Austell, Cornwall to celebrate its second season. The special screening of season two's pilot episode occurred on Sunday, Sept. 4, while the pilot episode of "Poldark" aired on TV at 9 p.m. that day on BBC1.
Aidan Turner, who portrays the titular character Capt.Ross Poldark, attended the special screening with Eleanor Tomlinson, who plays Demelza Poldark, and Jack Farthing who plays George Warleggan.
Fans of the hit series filled the nearby streets to show their support for the show and to catch a glimpse of their favorite actors and actresses.
Without the Cornish period clothing, the stars looked very different from the characters they play. Nevertheless, they stunned the crowd with their red carpet get-ups. Both Turner and Farthing wore bomber jackets. Turner opted to wear a green, while Farthing wore one in blue. Tomlinson, on the other hand, stunned fans in a white lace dress.
Although the stars dazzled people with their presence, the pilot episode most likely left fans worried about the fate of their favorite characters. The opening episode picked up where the previous season left off — Ross and Demelza losing their child, and Ross incarcerated in Truro jail for his participation in a riot.
The cast featured breathtaking sceneries and jaw-dropping bare torsos; however, these wasn't enough to lift up the mood that perpetuated in episode one.
Before the season premiered, reports suggested that Ross and Demelza might be ending their marriage due to Ross' infidelity. The main character is expected to rekindle his relationship with his first love Elizabeth Poldark (Heida Reed). The first episode, however, did not show anything to suggest this. Perhaps the following episodes will answer the fans' questions about the possible marital trouble.
Furthermore, the first episode introduced new characters in the show. John Nettles portrays Ray Penvenen in this season. He is accompanied by Gabriella Wilde, who portrays his niece and heiress, Caroline.
The second episode of "Poldark" will air on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 9 p.m. on BBC1.
