The release of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" this month has given Pokemon fans a new platform to catch 'em all. As fans are off gathering all the Pokemon in the Pokedex, some tips have come up for people having trouble catching classic Pokemon like Eevee, Growlithe and Pichu.

According to reports, it's fairly easy for trainers to catch Growlithe and Pichu since they appear in the first island that the player travels to, Melemele Island. Players can encounter Growlithe on Route 2 right before they get to Route 3. It's said that Growlithe is only available in this island, so it's a good thing that players can snag them early on. Growlithe is a fire-type dog Pokemon that evolves into Arcanine.

Pichu (as well as its more popular evolution, Pikachu) can also be found on Melemele — in fact, it is full of it. Trainers can encounter Pichu between the main character's house and the place where they run into Kahuna Hala for the first time. Pichu can be spotted in the patches of grass right before a flight of stairs.

If players want to save themselves the hassle of evolving a Pichu, Pikachu can also be found in Hau'oli City. It's important to note that, like Growlithe, Pikachu and Pichu only exist in the Melemele islands, so it's best to capture them before moving on to other places.

As for Eevee, players can find it in the second island that they visit, Akala Island. Eevee can be found along Route 4 on the way from Heahea City, and it's one of the first Pokemon that a player encounters there. Though it may seem simple at first, Eevee has the ability to evolve into eight different forms, so any player who wants to get them all should catch at least eight Eevees in advance.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" is now available for the Nintendo 3DS.
