'Pokemon Sun and Moon' rumors, updates: Game to introduce new starter types?

There has been no official confirmation of the rumors from Nintendo and Game Freak regarding the much-anticipated Pokemon game of the year called "Pokemon Sun and Moon." However, there is no stopping the game enthusiasts in the internet world to provide rumors about the Pokemon game's contents. One of the most talked about speculations on the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" contents is the new Pokemon starter types that will be introduced for the first time in the history of Pokemon game series. As the usual Pokemon games have Fire, Water and Grass Pokemon starters, fans may be seeing new types as the game releases sometime this year.
Bitbag featured a video posted by PokeMEN discussing the chances of having new Pokemon starter types such as Grass-Fairy, Water-Dragon, and even as rare as the Fire-Electric starter types in the soon-to-be-released "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Pokemon gamers are used to seeing only three different types of Pokemon starters and it will be an interesting addition to the Pokemon game saga if Nintendo includes new Pokemon types along the way. In the video discussion, each Pokemon generation features either a pure one type Pokemon starter or a mix of any single sub-Pokemon types. With the rumors of new Pokemon types in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" surfacing, it could be more about exploring Pokemon starter hybrids of Fire, Water and Grass types.
In a separate report from Bitbag, the Pokemon starter type concept is proven to be an efficient way to introduce Pokemon's "Elemental Rock Paper Scissors" system when going into a first Rival or a larger Gym Leader Battle. It is noted that some starter Pokemons do not have early access to the moves of their main type. However, the features of their main type begin to manifest when the Pokemon is about to undergo their first starter type evolution. The last decade of Pokemon games has featured this system, but the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" may be the first to introduce a tweak in this formula which would mean a more exciting experience to the old-time Pokemon gamers.
