\"Pokemon Sun and Moon\" | Official Pokemon website

Fans of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will be excited to find out the new screenshots purportedly from the upcoming game which have been shown on a lone site ahead of an upcoming release schedule.

Never-as-yet seen anywhere screenshots from the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" game were found that may have something to do with a reveal which is to happen on Monday, August 1.

The screenshots may add weight to recent reports on a new batch of Pokemon which will be making it to the eagerly anticipated seventh generation in Nintendo's game series. A new tropical region will also be the setting for the anticipated release.

Fans hope though that some old-time Pokemon favorites will also make it to the game, which will increase its appeal to players of the game's much earlier versions. It was revealed that Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Omega, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire will make their way back into the limelight through the newest version.

Reports also say that the Pokemon Bank could be used to move Pokemon from the earlier versions and bring them into "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

Junichi Masuda, whether in jest or earnest, said that there will be more than 10 new Pokemon characters appearing in "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

Niantic is hoping that releasing the game in nine languages would help overcome the language barriers among players from various countries around the world.

Nintendo has confirmed the release will be happening on Nov. 18. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will be exclusive to the 3DS console, much like 2013's "Pokemon X and Y" which was also released solely for 3DS.

The release timed with the holiday season is one way for the game company to mark its 20th anniversary from the time the initial versions "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Green" came out in Japan.
