'Pokemon GO' release date rumors: To be launched Summer 2016? New evolution process to be introduced
The Pokemon fans all over the world have been waiting for the release of the first Pokemon mobile app game, "Pokemon GO," currently being developed by Niantic. While Niantic and the Pokemon Company have remained silent while the game is under works, there is no stopping the fans in getting information firsthand. If the rumors are correct, "Pokemon GO" will be released as early as Summer 2016.

According to a report from News Everyday, the final version of "Pokemon GO" may be released much earlier than expected, with the earliest possible release date of the game in June. While Niantic already revealed that the mobile app will be released within this year, the exact date of launching is still unknown. As of the moment, the fans are counting on the latest rumor that the mobile app developer will be able to launch the game as early as Summer 2016. However, it should be noted that beta tests in different parts of Japan, Australia and New Zealand are still ongoing. There is also a possibility that Niantic may not have the time to release the game in Summer as they would still need to analyze the result of the beta testing rounds and input them into the game's final version.
It was also noted by NeuroGadget that Niantic may have a pattern in making big announcements that involve "Pokemon GO." Following the previous timeline of announcements, the company released that beta version of "Pokemon GO" on March 3, while the next round of beta tests was announced on April 7. These dates fall on the first Thursday of the month. If this pattern is indeed true, the fans can expect another revelation about "Pokemon GO" on the first Thursday of June.
Meanwhile, Comicbook was able to report the leaked footage of the new evolution process to be introduced in "Pokemon GO." According to the report, the usual evolution process in other Pokemon games requires a certain item before a Pokemon begins to evolve. In "Pokemon GO," players would have to gather Evolution Shards first before a Pokemon can finally transform, thus requiring the player to "travel more."
