Many Pokemon fans all over the world have been tuning in for the latest developments of the much-anticipated augmented reality (AR) mobile game app, "Pokemon GO." Niantic, the game developer of the latest Pokemon game offering, has kept mum regarding the current phase of development of "Pokemon GO," although the company is currently holding beta testing in different locations. While Niantic is trying its best to keep all information during the beta testing period from the public, the participants themselves are posting the updates regarding the game. As of now, the rumors suggest that the final version of "Pokemon GO" will be ready for release during the midyear.

The earliest possible launch date of "Pokemon GO" is around the middle of 2016, Neuro Gadget reported. However, as the beta testing is still ongoing in some portions of the world, it cannot be confirmed if Niantic can proceed with the releasing of the final game version right away. Some reports also point towards a mid to late 2017 release of "Pokemon GO," although nothing official has been shared to the public as of late.

Regarding the gameplay features of "Pokemon GO," the only updates are coming from the alleged beta testers of the game. It cannot be confirmed whether the people claiming to be beta testers of "Pokemon GO" are real, although Niantic itself is making its move to take down all materials on the internet that can potentially spoil the contents of the game to the public before the final version is even released.

It was first reported by an alleged "Pokemon GO" beta tester that the elemental type of a Pokemon dictates which part of the map it will appear. For example, a Water Pokemon is very much likely to appear in areas near the beach. According to a separate report from Neurogadget, Pokemon spawn is not only dependent on the kind of place as the type of weather can also dictate which Pokemon will be spawned at a certain time or place.

An example of a kind of Pokemon spawn triggered by a weather event is when a Water-type Pokemon suddenly appears in the midst of a rain shower event. Electric Pokemons can also be spawned by a rain shower event accompanied by thunder and lightning.
