'Pokemon GO' release date news: App to launch July 2016, features customizable Pokemon trainer character

Several reports and speculations have been making rounds on the internet about "Pokemon GO" since The Pokemon Company and Niantic confirmed earlier this year that the first and official mobile phone-based Pokemon game will be released in the coming months. Beta field tests conducted in different parts of the world are indication that "Pokemon GO" is indeed arriving soon, although recently, the latest reports suggest that the long wait is finally over.

If the rumors are correct, the month of July will be a big month for those who are patiently waiting for the augmented reality (AR) game for Android and iOS smartphones. Gotta Be Mobile reported that "Pokemon GO" is set to be released sometime next month, and the first release of the game will be available for all mobile phone users for free.

However, Niantic will have the final say regarding the exact launching of the Pokemon game. Moreover, there are also reports suggesting that only "Pokemon GO" pre-orders will happen in July. Specifically, players can only start reserving their own copy of the mobile game on July 31 before the actual release of "Pokemon GO." If the game will not be released next month, it can be expected to arrive sometime in August, Breathe CAST reported.

Even though Niantic has not yet made any announcement regarding the release of "Pokemon GO," there are hints that the final version of the game is almost complete, and it will just be a matter of weeks before it hits the digital stores. According to Nintendo Life, Niantic is already in the final stages of their preparation as the beta field tests in the United States are about to conclude on June 30.

As for the new features to be introduced by "Pokemon GO," there are reports that the players can now customize the look of their Pokemon trainer characters. This will be the first time that Pokemon trainers are made to be customizable in the game where the players can change the dress and accessories of their in-game characters. The Pokemon trainer profiles can also be changed. Also, aside from catching Pokemons, the players can also trade Pokemons or train their own to gain experience before a Pokemon battle.
