Pokemon Go generation 2 release date news 2016: New Pokemon and Pokemon evolutions for Gen 2

Since the release of "Pokemon Go," Niantic stirred gamers worldwide with the augmented reality mobile game. The app has been downloaded millions of times and its popularity won't seem to decrease anytime soon. Nevertheless, the game developers are devising new ways to keep the hype going. Niantic will soon be releasing the second generation of "Pokemon Go." The game will also be added to the Apple Watch.

The second generation of the game will include a new set of Pokemon evolutions â€” Golbat (Crobat), Eevee (Espeon and Umbreon), Poliwhirl (Politoed), and Slowpoke (Slowking), to name a few.

The game will also feature new Pokemon. A few of the creatures expected to show up in Gen 2 are Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Sentret, Hoothoot, Ledyba, Spinarak, and more.

Data miners discovered that the update will include the new buddy system, as well as the addition of Mew and Mewtwo, and spicy, coral, and floral incenses.

The buddy system is reportedly a new feature that will allow players to walk with their Pokemon. Doing this will reward players with candy. Only one Pokemon can be equipped as a buddy; however, users can always swap it with a different one.

Furthermore, Niantic's "Pokemon Go" will be available for Apple Watch users soon. During the Apple event in which the iPhone 7 was revealed, the company also announced that "Pokemon Go" will be made for the Apple Watch.

The interface of the game will be somehow different from the accustomed mobile game because an Apple Watch screen is simply smaller. Nevertheless, players will now have an easier time — they can now enjoy the game while they are out running. When players are out and about, the watch will notify the user with the steps they must accomplish to hatch an egg, the Pokémon that are lurking nearby, and the calories they've burned while playing the game.
