'Pokémon Sun and Moon' release date, gameplay news: Will have many regions to cover?

Following a disappointing April issue about "Pokémon Sun and Moon," the popular Japanese magazine, CoroCoro, may have something significant to share about the locations where the two upcoming role-playing video games in the Pokémon series will occur.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" will be set in regions based on real cities across the world. According to reports, the first four locations will include the Japanese cities of Johto, Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Another city that is said to be included is Unova, which is based in New York, while the sixth city is Kalos, which is based on a place in France.

There are millions of "Pokémon" fans all over the world, and most of them are wondering if they will ever see the old regions from previous "Pokémon" installments in future projects. During an interview with Kotaku, Junichi Masuda, Pokémon series director, talked about the possibilities of these regions to be included in the future titles.

"If we could come up with a way to really make that interesting, then it's something we'd implement - but for me, personally, as a theory, I think it would be more fun for us all to enjoy different locations and then share that experience together than all have the same experience in the same region," Masuda explained.

Meanwhile, Crossmap reported that usable vehicles might be included in the upcoming "Pokémon Sun and Moon." Rumor has it that players will have many regions to cover in the new title. The publication said that game developer, Game Freak, may add usable vehicles to the game to make the travel faster than it normally is.

Fans could no longer wait for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" to come out; however, the game developer and its publisher, The Pokémon Company, have yet to provide specific details with regard to its release. Nonetheless, fans are positive that the highly anticipated title will come out this year.
