The PlayStation NEO has been a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet. Almost three years after the current PlayStation 4 was released, game observers are wondering if players are ready for a new generation of gaming console.
Despite Sony's continued silence with regard to the matter, various reports coming from several media outlets suggest that the company may launch the new gaming device at E3. The event is scheduled to start on June 14 and if rumors prove to be true, the console could make it in the market before the year ends.
A previous report coming from Kotaku suggested that the Japanese electronics company is developing a new console dubbed as PlayStation 4.5. The console is said to be a more powerful version of the current PlayStation iteration. There are speculations that the upcoming PlayStation NEO may have 4K display support, which definitely requires Sony to install a pretty good graphics processing unit (GPU) on the machine.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that the device will come out anytime soon with a price tag of $399. Many game observers believe that it is a fair price considering it is more powerful than PlayStation 4.
As for virtual reality (VR) support, there is no report as of the moment suggesting that the upcoming console will carry such feature. Fans will have to stay tuned for more information regarding the rumored PlayStation NEO.
