Phoenix Suns trade rumors: Suns may eventually trade away Bledsoe

Looking at another season potentially at the bottom of the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns may need to finally revamp their team in order to rebuild.

At the moment, the Suns are 2-4 and at the bottom of the Pacific Division. They are already losing ground to other Western Conference heavyweights.

While they have won their last two games, there is still a lot to be changed in the squad and Phoenix may finally need to let go of the pieces they brought in to build this current squad.

Rumor has it that Eric Bledsoe may be playing on borrowed time and the team will eventually look to trade him for some younger talent or picks for when they rebuild.

Bledsoe has been with the team since the 2013-14 season and now in his fourth season with the team, he averages 17.9 points and 5.9 assists per game. This is a lot better than his career averages of 11.7 points and 4.3 assists with his first three years with the Los Angeles Clippers.

However, Bledsoe was brought in to possibly be the franchise player of the Suns.

His bloated salary speaks for itself as Bledsoe signed a five-year, $70-million deal which shows that Phoenix were ready to lay it out for him to direct the squad to the right direction. This year he is set to earn $14 million, increasing by half a million each year until the contract expires.

However, the Suns have now acquired different players like Brandon Knight who has shown even better signs of leading the team; this now finally leaves Bledsoe as the odd man out.

It is likely that the Suns are going to shop him for a player they need down the line, or simply give him up for some draft picks and role players in order to strengthen the core of the Suns.

Bledsoe will surely attract other teams with his style of play, but he may not be suited for the Suns.
