'Persona 5' release date updates and rumors: A summer release unlikely to happen because of 'FFXV?'

Many video game fanatics are anticipating the release of the upcoming role-playing video game, "Persona 5." It is currently being developed by Atlus for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game was supposed to be released in 2015 but that did not happen and IGN reported that the people behind the game decided to delay the title until the summer of 2016.
Despite the disappointing delay, fans are still hopeful that "Persona 5" will be rolled out as early as possible. However, the game developer has yet to provide any more information with regard to the release and many fans have started to wonder if the game will ever be released this year.
There are reports suggesting that the summer release of "Persona 5" might only happen in Japan and there is still no indication up until now if North America and Europe will get a simultaneous rollout.
The last installment of the series was released in 2008 and fans could no longer wait to experience the new title. If Japan will get the first release in May 2016, "Persona" players and critics are expecting the company to have a worldwide release a few months after that.
Meanwhile, there are also speculations that the title will be rolled out in 2017 because "Final Fantasy XV" is going to hit the market pretty soon. Apparently, the people behind the "Persona" franchise do not want to go head to head with the more popular "Final Fantasy." Although no official statement has been released by Atlus with regard this issue, it has already been a subject of several heated discussions on forums.
The company has yet to provide any new announcements with regard to the game's release date details. Most pieces of information that are coming out right now about the game are merely just rumors and speculations. It is best not to make any assumptions until Atlus releases an official statement.
