Paula Patton Files For Divorce From Robin Thicke

Actress Paula Patton has officially filed for divorce against musician Robin Thicke, citing the often-used irreconcilable differences.

Patton is reportedly seeking joint custody of the couple's four-year-old son, Julian. According to TMZ, a source close to the court proceedings says the couple is reportedly behaving "harmoniously" in the divorce proceedings.

Since the couple announced they were separating back in February, Thicke has made several attempts to win back the heart of his wife. He named an album after her and often publicly spoke about how he wanted to win her back.

When performing at the BET Awards, Thicke started crying when he took the stage and told the crowd "Good evening, my name is Robin Thicke, I'd like to dedicate this song to my wife, and said, 'I miss you, and I'm sorry.'"

In February, the couple released a joint statement that read: "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."

Thicke recently admitted in court papers involving a lawsuit for his song "Blurred Lines" that for the past year, he has been addicted to a mixture of painkillers and alcohol. He said in the court documents that he doesn't recall having a sober interview in 2013.

Problems between Thicke and Patton reportedly started at the peak of Thicke's success in 2013, when he released the hit song "Blurred Lines" along with Pharrell made headlines for a provocative performance at the MTV Video Music Awards with Miley Cyrus.
