Pastor Shares Journal Entry of Murdered Wife: 'I Love You Lord, Glory and Praise to You'

The grieving husband of deceased wife Amanda Blackburn has taken to social media to share a journal entry written by his wife hours before her life was claimed during a tragic breaking and entering in November.
Davey Blackburn, wife to deceased 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn, shared a photo of his wife's journal entry, made hours before she was tragically shot in the early morning hours of November 10 during a home robbery.
Amanda's journal entry focused on the importance of Jesus in her life, as she added the lyrics from the popular religious hymn "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus."
"Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in his wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim. In the light of his glory and grace," she wrote in the November 9 journal entry.
"What an amazing Sunday yesterday that filled my heart to see so many people in your church. Learning, growing, meeting you and taking next steps. Thank you for letting me get to see all of this [with] my own eyes. I love you Lord. Glory and praise to you," Amanda added.
Amanda, who was 12 weeks pregnant at the time of her murder, helped plant the Resonate Church with her husband, Pastor Davey Blackburn, in 2012.
As he mourns the death of his wife, Pastor Davey Blackburn has said that he will not let his wife's passing turn him into a bitter or angry person, arguing that such a negative outlook would destroy his soul and those around him.
Instead, the pastor recently wrote in a Facebook post that he knows his 28-year-old wife is in paradise in heaven, doing one of her favorite hobbies, sunbathing.
"For those who knew Amanda well, you know she's sun-tanning on the shores of Heaven sipping her virgin pina colada. [...] Loving paradise!" the husband wrote in a recent Facebook post.
