Another church in the U.S. has decided to offer drive-thru prayer to passerby in an attempt to get more people into its church.

St. John's Methodist Church in Bucks County, Pennsylvania has reportedly decided to offer drive-thru prayer during the evening for one night per week. Local media outlets have already spotted a steady line of cars waiting for their drive-thru prayer opportunity on Wednesday.

"When someone drives into the driveway, two people, a prayer team of two, goes up to the car," Ruth Portzline, a pastoral associate at the church, told NBC's Philadelphia affilaite. "We introduce ourselves to them by our first names, and ask for their first name and then we ask for them what they would like for us to pray with them about."

Portzline went on to tell the media outlet that volunteers for the prayer service have had both lighthearted and serious interactions with motorists, with some wanting a quick, simple prayer and others facing more serious issues, such as suicide and divorce.

One person who participated in the drive-thru prayer, Cheryl Devine, told CBS Philadelphia that she believes the drive-thru prayer service is a good addition to the community, adding that she feels the prayer really works.

"They come over to the car, they say hello, they ask you what's going on. And I stopped a few weeks ago when I was having some troubles. And prayer really works," Devine said.

Other churches across the nation have also implemented a drive-thru prayer service to keep up with the changing, fast-paced schedules of today's modern world.
