For the past few months, there have been speculations that the next DLC update for Blizzard's hit action role-playing game (ARPG) "Overwatch" will feature Sombra as a new playable character. As of now, the rumors are rife that the mysterious character will be included in the next expansion update set for this month.

Regarding the future backstory of the still unconfirmed arrival of Sombra in "Overwatch," Blizzard's recent post may have already spoiled it to the fans. The official website of the game studio recently posted an article written in a formal newsletter style, where Blizzard is supposedly blaming a fictitious company named LumeriCo and its president.

As reported by Yibada, the imaginary CEO of LumeriCo, Guillermo Portero, has been involved in money laundering activities and bribery that involves huge personalities in the government. Moreover, Portero has allegedly concocted a plan to "seize privately held land via government expropriation to expand LumeriCo's facilities throughout Mexico."

To recall, Sombra is seemingly connected to this company as her group called the "Sombra collective" is known to launch several attacks on LumeriCo's website, with other stealth groups such as the Los Muertos joining her cause to bring down the company.

Meanwhile, "Overwatch" fans lurking at the Reddit forums have been speculating about the mysterious character of Sombra and her chances of being introduced by Blizzard as a new DLC fighter in the game. To note, Blizzard has not yet confirmed or denied the arrival of a new content pack this year, and it is even less certain that Sombra would be joining the roster in the next DLC update. Still, even if there are no clear signs from the game studio regarding the arrival of Sombra, the Redditors are now predicting that the character will reveal herself today, November 1, the same day when the next "Overwatch" patch update will be released.

It is also possible that Blizzard will unveil Sombra this month as the company will be having this year's Blizzcon event on November 4 to 5, presenting all the new updates and projects of the studio in the coming weeks. Blizzard may use this event as an opportunity to reveal the details about the much-awaited Sombra update for "Overwatch."

"Overwatch" game director Jeff Kaplan earlier stated that a new "Overwatch" hero will be introduced in the game very soon, as reported by iTech Post. Kaplan did not reveal the identity of the new hero they are working on, but the current rumors about Sombra led the fans to believe that Kaplan was already referring to the character.
