Blizzard has been very busy checking the new contents of their latest first-person shooter video game, "Overwatch." The game developer company has also introduced new features and game modes, specifically the special multiplayer game setup called the "Competitive Mode." The said game mode is just a few weeks old, and Blizzard has continuously observed the players' reaction on "Competitive Mode." It is expected that new measures will be implemented in the "Competitive Mode," which will become effective once Blizzard releases a new patch for the game.

The "Competitive Mode" is an exciting addition to an already action-packed multiplayer shooter game, although the particularly new game mode has led other players to resort to so-called hero stacking. Many people, including the Blizzard team, have observed that some players would rather use specific stacked compositions to mess up other gamers. While this may not have anything significant effect on the other gamers' performance, the hero stacking is proven to be an unfair burden for some players. It can be very frustrating at times that the strategies of players can get affected. As hero stacking is possible in other game modes, it happens more often in "Competitive Mode" that more players have lost the interest to play it.

To address the issue, Blizzard will be implementing hero limits in the "Competitive Mode." As stated by game director Jeff Kaplan in the official "Overwatch" forums, the hero stacking has proven to make the "Competitive Mode" less fun, and their team is planning a one hero character per match rule. This rule will be implemented once the next patch update for "Overwatch" arrives in the coming days.

Blizzard principal designer Scott Mercer also talked about the said hero stacking issue in the "Competitive Mode," and how the next update will try to fix this issue. "The big thing for Competitive Play is we're going to turn on one-hero limit, so players will not be able to stack more than one of the same hero within a Competitive match. It's not going to affect Quick Play at all, but it is something we're going to turn on for Competitive," Mercer told Gamespot.
