'Outlander' season 2 spoilers: Claire, Jamie come home to Scotland to heal from their devastating loss; secret from Jamie's complicated family history to be revealed

Historical fantasy drama "Outlander" season 2 is on its eighth episode this week, and Jamie's family history will finally be revealed.

According to the official synopsis for episode 8 titled "The Fox's Lair," Jamie and Claire will be involved in a difficult situation which could be made worse by someone from Jamie's family. The summary from the network reads:

"Claire and Jamie call upon Jamie's grandsire, Lord Lovat, in an attempt to elicit support for the Jacobite cause. However, a visiting Colum MacKenzie has other plans, and Lord Lovat's manipulative machinations ensure that no matter what, his own interests will be served."

Following the events in last week's episode titled "Faith," Jamie and Claire must return home to the rural Highlands where their family and friends reside. As noted by spoiler sites, the couple's decision to leave Paris was to forget all the heartbreaking memories they had there. After everything they went through, it is also about time to return to the place they once called home.

Familiar faces from the first season will definitely be there because they need the company of people they know and trust as they try to heal from the devastating loss of their unborn child. Jamie and Claire might have set aside their plan to stop Bonnie Prince Charles from taking over the British throne, but it does not mean that the scheming stops there.

Meanwhile, Claire meets a seer during her stay in Scotland. A seer is a woman who can see what happens in the future, and she will be extremely helpful for Claire. Furthermore, Jamie's complicated family origins will also be explored, and Claire will discover a secret from his life.
