Oscar Pistorius Trial, Sentencing Latest News: Jail Time Training With Well Known Detainee

Oscar Pistorius has started serving his five-year sentence for the killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Recently it was reported that the South African Paralympic athlete was training along with a well known inmate in jail.
Pistorius was earlier found guilty of culpable homicide, a lesser charge than what the prosecution wanted. The judge Thokozile Masipa then handed out a jail term of five years while the prosecution had been hoping for a minimum sentence of 10 years.
The defense team noted that Pistorius could spend as little as 10 months in jail if he behaved well and spend the rest of his sentence under house arrest.
This was viewed as a very light sentence by many. The National Prosecuting Authority described Pistorius' prison term as "shockingly light" and announced that it planned to appeal the sentence.
An application to appeal the sentence has already been filed by the prosecutors and it is due to be heard on Dec. 9.
Soon after his trial ended and his sentence was pronounced, Pistorius shook hands with several family members and his defense team, after which he was whisked away to Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria where as stated in court he will be staying in the hospital wing. The wing with its medical facilities is equipped to handle a double amputee such as Pistorius.
Shortly afterwards he was sent to another block where he is currently housed along with other heavily guarded prisoners. Here Pistorius has been training alongside a noted convict named Radovan Krejcir. It was also subsequently revealed that Krejcir's personal gym equipment had been removed and provided to Pistorius for his use and Krejcir no longer could access it. Krejcir ended up protesting about this to Amnesty International, describing it as "another form of mental and emotional torture" and demanded that his gym equipment be returned to him.
