The fourth season of BBC America's science fiction drama "Orphan Black" is about to come to a close, and it will definitely end with a bang.

Sarah's alliance with Rachel takes a turn for the worse, as Neolution inches closer to materializing its plan and communication with Cosima becomes hardly possible. Sarah takes on the mission without Rachel, as she and her sestras desperately move to put a stop to Neolution once and for all. As seen in the finale promo stills, Krystal will have a huge involvement after meeting Sarah and the clones. There is a possibility that her knowledge of what happened to Delphine might be explored in the season 5 premiere.

The official synopsis for the season 4 finale "From Dancing Mice to Psychopaths" reads:

"When communication with Cosima is cut off and Neolution appears to be within striking distance, Sarah's alliance with Rachel goes out the window. Sarah lures a high-level Neolutionist into a trap, and sets out to bring down Neolution once and for all."

Creators Graeme Manson and John Fawcett previously announced their plans of ending the show in season 5, saying that going beyond that is far from happening. "I think we want to wrap this story up by the end of season five," Fawcett told E! News. "And then if there are still a lot of fans and a lot of desire to see this show after that, I think there would be some reinvention necessary or some kind of new spin. I don't know what that is or could be. I'm not really thinking about that right now, I'm just thinking about trying to get this story told in five seasons."

The show's fate is currently in limbo as BBC America has yet to greenlight a fifth season. TV networks usually greenlight season renewals before the show wraps up, but as of this writing, there is no word yet from BBC America concerning the show's fate.
