iPhone 8 may be jazzing its way up to be the most innovative, and likewise competitive, entry in the smartphone-making arena come 2017 with its rumored, ridiculously advanced features and specifications, but in the Android platform, few worthy rivals have gone up surfacing, to say the least. The always-mighty Samsung Electronics is gearing itself up with two potential offerings to outshine Apple Inc.'s outing â€” Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

And as these iterations from the South Korean firm are en route to their regular, massive success, one looming entry from the now increasingly favorited Chinese manufacturer is on its way to even make its users prouder than they ever had â€” OnePlus 4. The speculated smartphone is now gathering some worthy rumors that can only equal or outpace the Apples and Samsungs of the world.

Purported to be the successor of OnePlus 3 and the newly unwrapped hardware refresh OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 4 is slated to come with an unbelievable 8GB worth of random-access memory (RAM) and Qualcomm Snapdragon 830. Furthermore, the forthcoming entry is rumored to be equipped with a native storage of 128GB.

Meanwhile, OnePlus 4 is also pegged to come with a dual-camera setup, akin to the offerings such as iPhone 7 Plus, LG G5 and Huawei P9. In addition, OnePlus is tipped to utilize the dual-camera system as a means to integrate augmented reality along with mixed reality to the smartphone's upcoming functionalities. Moreover, the forthcoming entry might get equipped with an upgraded 12-megapixel (MP) sensor.

OnePlus 4's aesthetics have also been a subject of the rumor mills lately. Accordingly, the flagship offering might be encased in an all-glass design. A beefed-up battery and an improved Dash Charge feature are also in the works for the device.

While all of these have not been confirmed by the Chinese manufacturer yet, the pegged specs above are not that too farfetched as OnePlus is known to excel in these crucial features.
